Geschiedenis van de diverse Andringa-families van 1450 tot nu
De Andringa Stichting
There are currently over 4000 known name bearers of the old Frisian family name Andringa, men and women divided over 13 different families. Our Aldfaer databases also contain over 3000 in-laws.
The Andringa Foundation is a small organisation, which was founded and started as a working group on the initiative of drs. Ype Brouwers. The Andringa Foundation was officially established on 1 October 1985.
The different families with the name Andringa were mapped out in two books. The sates with the name Andringa are also described in the books. Hard work is being done on digitising the Andringa books. At the same time, genealogical information is being updated. Digitisation and updating should result in a third edition.
The foundation has a small board. Working groups are used to carry out certain tasks. The activities are carried out on a voluntary basis. All expenses for the foundation, the family bulletin, digitisation and the like are paid from contributions and donations. Board and working group members do not receive any expenses or travel expenses.
Once every four years a national family day is held, with the emphasis on conviviality and family contacts. The board reports on the past years and asks for approval for its plans. For this day in a leap year, an original and attractive program is put together each time with sufficient space to talk to each other.
The foundation's goal is:
1) to conduct ancestral research, the results of which will be published.
2) to promote family contacts, to strengthen family ties, by organizing a reunion for Andringas from home and abroad.
3) to publish a biannual family bulletin, Andringa Staach Nijs (Dutch and English), which contains family announcements, articles and announcements.
4) to bring this website online and expand it.
